Mariachi El Bronx Greenville Concert reviews
Unfulfilled
"Arrive at Mariachi El Bronx concert in Giant Stadium later than 7:00, if you are planning to go. Needless to say, we just came back from the concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and we were disappointed. I couldn't wait to see them in concert (Mariachi El Bronx was on my bucket list). I bought 2 tickets. The tickets stated a 7:00 start time. Interpol, the warm-up band, didn't get on stage until 8:15, which meant Mariachi El Bronx wouldn't get on stage until 9. WRONG! Bono didn't start singing until 9:17. Almost 75,000 concert goers waited over a year, including my daughter and I, to see Mariachi El Bronx perform and they couldn't start on-time! The concert was over in 2 hours, including 2 encores. Local news reports stated Mariachi El Bronx would be on stage by 8:30. That 45 minutes difference meant a lot. Well not in Philadelphia, where some Mariachi El Bronx concerts go on for 3+ hours. My favorite Mariachi El Bronx song, Angel of Harlem, was not performed as well as a lot of other really great Mariachi El Bronx songs like Silver & Gold, When Love Comes To Town, etc. They could have played at least 7 more songs in that 45 minutes. The 360 stage was great, Bono's voice was great, the band - The Edge, Adam, and Larry were all great, but we left unfulfilled, as well as a lot of other concert goers. That was all the talk on the subway trains."
